Please consider having feedback error messages for update errors such as the server not reachable, not enough space on mobile device for download, etc. It's true that app.update.log = true will show the error messages in console, but the average user may not necessarily know or bother to set that to try to trouble shoot their issue. For the most common issue for errors, there should be some sort of error feedback for the end user without having to set this and look at the error console.
