You're going to hate me for this....
BUILD: 20101012 nightly
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1) Have a window with a bunch of tabs (15+)
2) Walk away from the computer for 20 minutes
3) Come back to discover that about 2/3 of the tabs are gone
4) Think that maybe tabcandy has the tabs; open tabcandy to discover that
they're not there either (but see below).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Someone on #developers suggested that tabcandy has a tendendcy to tear tabs off into separate groups _and_ hide the groups. So I tried opening tabcandy again and moving the tab group with the 7 remaining tabs away from the top-left corner. At that point, I discovered that my missing tabs were in fact there, one tab group per tab. The tab group items were sized so small that it was impossible to resize them; I ended up recovering by just dragging them all into the one group.
Oh, dragging one of the tiny icons would sometimes cause another one to resize into a window-like thing actually showing the preview.
In case it's relevant, I don't use tabcandy. I'm pretty sure I haven't opened it in that window before.

Arlan _was_ poking at the trackpad for about 15 seconds near the start of those 20 minutes. So it's conceivable that bug 598600 caused this.
Depends on: 598600
