605994 - Crashing after launch during drawing of the UI

Every time I start Minefield it will crash in both the 32-bit and 64-bit browsers on Vista Ultimate x64.  Its been reproduced on three separate systems and only starting the browser in Safe-Mode will it boot.

Could be either a JIT or d2d bug if it works in the safemode and if no addon is causing this. The 64 bit version had a known JM crash that should be fixed with todays build.

Do you have a crash ID from such a crash ?
Which Nightly build do you use ?

I have no crash ID...windows traps the crash each time.

Please open about:config (safemode), enter jit in the top filter bar and change javascript.options.methodjit.content to false

Does it workj now ?
You can also try to change the other jit options to false
Don't forget to change them back to the default after the crash get fixed.
Again, which Build ID, is this todays nightly ?

Brilliant! It came right up after that change.  I am running the latest off of trunk not the nightly.  4.0b8pre

This would be a dupe of bug 601355 if you use a 64bit build. That bug is fixed but there are currently no new trunk nightly builds generated for 64bit.
