This means that once you've made Eudora your email program, you can never escape from it. This is a serious bar to usage. I can't adopt a mail program that I can't switch away from if it turns out that there is a need to do so. Reproducible: Always
Having plaintext MBOX format is one of the reasons I stuck with Eudora so many years.

Nothing was done about it, so I was, as I said, never able to use Eudora as my primary email program. And I don't know anyone else who uses it either at this point. In short, the bug report has outlived its usefulness, because it has outlived the application itself.
