Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100922 Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick) FireDownload/2.0.1 Firefox/3.6.10

Sometimes when I am typing data into a 1 character high text box, sometimes it would highlight the previously typed characters so that when I would type more characters, all the previous characters would disappear. A prime example where this gets on my nerves is when I am doing some configuration in Webmin's Bind8 configuration and it would delete the numbers previous in the IP address I just typed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go into Webmin's Bind8 Configuration
2.Create New Master Zone
3.Create New Name Record
4.Type in the name of this record
5.Tab over to the ip address box
6.Type in the IP address of the record
Actual Results:
Sometimes it highlights the previous numbers so that I have to press the arrow key to unhighlight them or I am forced to delete them.

Expected Results:
It should have allowed me to type the entire thing without problem.

I have been having this problem ever since I upgraded ubuntu from 9.10 to 10.04, and firefox to the relevant version of the times. I have added and removed all sorts of addons, and this seems to have no affect on the bug.
Severity: normal → S3
