Str:
1. Open Minefield with default settings.
2. Open Tools -> Options.
3. Select the Privacy panel.
4. In the History grouping, in the "Minefield will:" combo box, use the down arrow key to select "Use custom settings for history".
Expected: A "Permanent Private Browsing mode" checkbox should appear and should be unchecked. In addition, there should be checkboxes for browsing, download and search/form history, along with four options related to cookies.
Actual: The "Permanent Private Browsing mode" checkbox is checked instead of unchecked. The checkboxes for browsing, download and search/form history are missing.

5. Cancel out of this dialog.
6. Open Tools -> Options.
7. Select the Privacy panel.
8. In the History grouping, in the "Minefield will:" combo box, press alt+downArrow to open the combo box. Then use the down arrow key to select "Use custom settings for history" and press enter to accept it.
Result (correct): A "Permanent Private Browsing mode" checkbox appears and is unchecked. In addition, there are checkboxes for browsing, download and search/form history, along with four options related to cookies.

Keyboard users are accustomed to being able to change a combo box without having to open it, so for most keyboard users, these options will appear to be missing.

This also occurs in Firefox 3.6, though the options are slightly different there.

This is definitely confirmed. When changing the options via the keyboard without first pressing Alt+DownArrow, the rest of the panel does not appear to get updated properly. I do not know what happens visually in the two cases, but I would assume that actually nothing except the combobox itself changes when not using Alt+DownArrow to open it first.

I'm not sure about this. The options/text from the previous setting seems to disappear at least as far as a11y is concerned and *some* of the new options appear.

If I arrow down to "Use custom settings for history" then "Permanent Private Browsing mode" checkbox is checked. If I open combobox, select this menuitem and click it then that checkbox is unchecked.
