From original bug 462374:

> With the advent of color management in SeaMonkey it becomes useful see what
> profile is embedded in an image, both for proofing web pages and diagnosing
> color management bugs. Displaying that information in the image properties or
> media tab of the page info would be just the thing.

This could be useful, but probably needs some kind of backend support, to get the information for the frontend.
This would be neat for debugging platform bugs. I would also like to consider allowing the profile to be saved to a file, although this isn't very difficult to extract from the image so it probably isn't worth the trouble.
SeaMonkey might want this, but it should be implemented in JavaScript. I would support a bug that exposed the raw image data to chrome script/addons, but it shouldn't be part of Gecko core.
