I am accessing my e-mail-account via IMAP.
All messages in all of my IMAP-folders (e. g. "sent messages" or "trash") are sorted that way, that the latest message is at the bottom.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Whenever I open an IMAP-folder, Thunderbird needs some time (2 - 3 seconds) to go to the bottom of the IMAP-folder.

Expected Results:
After opening an IMAP-folder, immediately jump to the bottom of that IMAP-folder (= latest message).

Just found an Add-On which implements this quite well:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/246793/
But should become a standard functionality in TB.
Seems that this has been fixed meanwhile
(tested with TB 5.0b2pre from June 2nd, 2011)
