I don-t know how to get the passwordmanager to work.
I'm not in the Privat Modus, I activated to save password, but it isn't working.
Wahat can I do to make the password manager working in the proper way?
Thank's
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.go onto a site which asks for usename and password
2.enter username and password
3.preess "enter"
Actual Results:
programm is going onto the desired site and working properly.
After logout and going again to the URL the programm again asks for usename and password ( so obviously then passwordmanager did not work)
Expected Results:
after log out and again going to the URL , when the site is asking for username and password, the passwordmanager should remember and fill out the username and the password
on the seamonkey 1.18 and 1.19.versions all was working all right.
Misfunction occors after changing to version 2.0.8 and 2.0.9

Did you see Step 4: SeaMonkey puts up a notification bar asking of you want to remember this password?

Hello Dear Phillip,
I did steps 1 to 3 but Your step 4 ( notificationbar which asks to remember or not ) did not appear.
So, what can be wrong?
kind regards

Firefox has a similar problem:
Why Doesn’t AutoComplete Always Work in Firefox?

You can use a bookmarket to override the website behaviour. See:

Hello dear Phillip,
Thank You for Your hints and advices, but before I install such a patch ( which possibly could damage SeaMonkey ) I#m looking for another way to solve the problem.
Why did the password manger work fin in seaMonkey up to version 1.19 and why now at seamonkey 2.0.10 it is not working?
Does anybody know how to repair it?
kind regards
Yours

Support questions should be asked in the SeaMonkey support forums.
<http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=40>
But the simple explanation is that when we moved to SeaMonkey 2.0 we switched to using the same password manager as Firefox so we get exactly the same advantages as well as disadvantages as Firefox.
Also bookmarklets can't damage SeaMonkey, they are just fancy bookmarks.

Hello again,
sorry that I bothered You with my question.
But I didn't know that ther is a seamonkey forum where I could ask for help.
I'll look there whether ther is already something about the password manager problem.
And regarding the bookmarlets : I'm not the greatest computer operator, and just a few days befor I lost all my datas from SeaMonkey 2.0.10.
I worked really hard to restore seamonkey 2.0.10, so now I am very carefully in changing or attaching things to my seamonkey 2.0.10 ( which I like more than IE8 and OE )
Thanks again for Your help so far
sincerely Yours

OK, so it looks like we are acting as the website requested and there is no real bug, the user has found the forums to ask for support.
