User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; sk; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; sk; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12

When i paste big text data (for example sql text export from phpmyadmin) to textarea in any form, is browser not responding for a few minuts, response time depends from size of text data. After a few minuts can i submit form. I tested same situation in other browsers and response is immediately.

Reproducible: Always

How "big" exactly?

Hello, for example 1MB, you can try to open sql or any txt file with this size, copy all text and paste it in this textarea.

I try this with many other version of firefox and windows xp, vista, seven
with same result.

Other browsers responding immediately, but im using firefox for developing.

I tried to paste 1.03 MB but dont see any freeze. The only thing i see is a very little delay until the text is displayed.

Try it with new profile and provide steps for reproducing if you still see the issue.

In more then one ubuntu machine running 3.16 I have had this happen when passing or having servers pass large amount of information to my textarea.
Say when I am using phpmyadmin to export data in a textarea. retrieving IP blocks for the US killed me, where using Chrome it worked just fine. http://www.blockacountry.com/
