608034 - Can't get email from Server: Message says "Inbox Full, Compact Folder" every time, even tho Inbox is NOT full.

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.11) Gecko/20101012 Firefox/3.6.11 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: 

Message says  "Inbox Full. Delete unneeded emails and compact folder."

I do this, Inbox is NOT full, yet get the same message.  Restart has no effect, same problem.

3.1 also deleted nearly all of my folders, leaving only Drafts and Sent Mail.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
Turon on computer, click on Email.  Thunderbird loads, but will not download emails from Server.  Message as above, "Inbox Full, delete messages and Compact Folder."

is you inbox at or new 4gb in size?

I had same issue on TB 3.1 under Ubuntu 10.4.
Inbox was 4G even if empty

Solution: close TB, delete Inbox manualy, start again TB, inbox is created again with correct size

Did not solved my issue...

In fact, my Inbox wax at 4G whaterver action I performed (delete or contact).

Only praticle solution was so rename "inbox" with "savinbox". When restarting TB, new empty inbox was created, then was able to transfer from savinbox to inbox. Finaly removed savinbox from my 10.4 system
