After an auto-update to 3.6.12, the Back button sometimes grays out and can't be used even though I have navigation history in the current tab.

The Back button stays grayed out until I switch to another tab, creating a new one if a second tab doesn't already exist.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new browser window.
2. Browse to 2 consecutive websites.
3. Back button is grayed out.
