There is no difference between winXP and Vista except for the UI. Please try http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
I try it. The hang is reproduced. Firefox beta eats huge amount of memory on this page showing its sagestion to stop the script. Can I attach the dump of the process? If I stop the script and close firefox it hangs in processes with 50%load (on two core CPU) till I kill it. I agree that it can depend not from the OS version only. I have 3 comp. win7 stater and vista reproduce the bug, on win7 enterprise everything is ok. May be CPU version (AND/Intell)?
Are you still seeing this with Firefox 4 final?
