608504 - Cannot dismiss remote reminders

In lightning 1.0b2 I have defined a remote LDAP calendar.
When there is a birthday reminder, the reminder pops up in thunderbird and I cannot dismiss it. I can only close the reminder window. Later the reminder pops up again and again, even if the birthday is over.

Do you have write access to the calendar? The calendar is not marked as read-only? Any messages reported in Tools > Error Console when dismissing the reminder?

What do you mean by remote LDAP calendar? Do you use a custom provider plugin? Or one of the built-in providers (ICS, WCAP, CalDAV, ...)?

Sorry, of course the interface is not LDAP but ICS.
The calendar is read only and this is the error message:

This explains. You can't edit events (e.g. dismissing its reminders) if the calendar is read-only.
