Firefox doesn't use the default file handler when opening downloaded files

If you download a file, or choose to open a downloaded file, you are given the option of what application to open the file in.

Firefox seems to read the list of applications that handle the file and just puts the first in this list, rather than putting them all in the list and highlighting the default, or at the very least, only putting the default in the list.

This is very irritating in the common case where you have, for example, Adobe Reader installed, but you have Evince (the default Gnome PDF reader) set as the default handler for PDF files.
