Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16pre) Gecko/20101031 SeaMonkey/2.0.11pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16pre) Gecko/20101031 SeaMonkey/2.0.11pre

If one has a btinternet e-mail account and composes a longish message directly in the webmail window (i.e. not via the SeaMonkey mail client) and clicks 'Send', quite often nothing at all will happen. Also one cannot then save the message to 'Drafts'. But one can shut down SeaMonkey in the usual way.

This behaviour is new — since the last 2 or 3 updates.

I do not know whether this also happens if one has an e-mail account with another ISP. It does not seem to happen if one uses Safari instead of SeaMonkey.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sign up for a btinternet.com account.
2. Go to one's home page.
3. Click 'New'.
4. Address a message to one's own or another known e-address.
5. Compose a message of 10 0r 15 lines of text.
6. Click 'Send'.
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
The message should be sent.

Mac G4 (PPC), OS X 10.4.11.
Do you get any error messages in the error console?

In the Error Console, under the 'Error' tab, there are three errors. Each contains a link. But I cannot tell whether these are related to this particular bug. Here are the three error messages:

Error: A is null

Under the 'All' tab, there are far too many entries for me to copy them all and paste them here.

This bug has just manifested itself again. Here are the three error messages:

Error: A is null
Source File: http://uk.mc867.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?&.rand=250104352
Line: 5

Error: gGalaxyData is not defined

Line: 10

Error: document.getElementById("yui-main") is null
Source File: http://uk.mc867.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?&.rand=250104352
Line: 177

I have, however, discovered that if, instead of clicking on 'Send' I click on the address that has appeared in the address bar and then press 'Return', the message does get sent.
