Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to reader.google.com
2. login with your google account

Actual Results:
I got the desktop version of the site

Expected Results:
I'd like to see the mobile version which is much more usable and seen via the stock browser.

I wondered if this would be improved by replacing "Android" with "Android 2.2" in our useragent (to more closely match the stock browser), but it didn't make a difference on any sites where I tried it.

I presume this counts for Search as well, because via the Firefox url bar on Android I am always being sent to full search.

Does Google need to be aware of this?

This fix is only for the open search provider, not searches in general

So we have a lot of separate bugs for individual Google services. Their detection is not unified across the services. We are already discussing with them for each of these bugs.

For the specific http://reader.google.com/ The service has been discontinued on July 15, 2013.

Resolving as INVALID.
