Mozilla crashes around 50-60% of the time after entering my IMAP password. I
have talkbalk ID's of TB21628622Z, TB21606863Q, and TB21606813E
I have mozilla set to fire up the browser and the mail/news client on startup.
I'm running 2000112108 on Mandrake 7.1
Trigger Reason: SIGSEGV: Segmentation Fault: (signal 11)

I'm unable to confirm on Linux myself, but this still looks like a valid bug.

A little more info. I have several copies of mozilla running on different
machines. Only one seems to be giving me this problem, there are several
differences but perhaps the most likely one is that on the one that crashes, I
converted a NS4.7x profile over. Doubt this is helpful

We need steps to reproduce in order to do anything with this bug. It might help
if you could narrow the problem down to isolate the cause. What is different in
the profile that crashes? Timeless: why do you think this is not mail-specific,
when the description says it only happens on IMAP passwords?

Actually I have the same type of problem when entering my PSM password. (I
figured maybe I could get the crash to go away by letting PSM handle my IMAP
password.)
It's working for me using build 2000120508 on RedHat 7.0.

I installed 2000120508 and wiped my .mozilla directory. Then everything is fine.
After installing (and using for a while) the gray-modern theme from
x.themes.org, this crash started to appear again.
Now I've deleted ~/.mozilla and chrome/gray-modern.jar. The crash doesn't
appear, but I'm never prompted for my password.

resolving as wfm, you might want to report this to the theme author, and try to
workaround via a clean install.
