User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 I use a dark grey theme in Kubuntu (dark backgrounds, light text). The background of both the location bar and the search bar are both dark. But the text that appears when hovering a link is always black (therefore almost impossible to read). The same for the name of the search engine, if I don't fill anything in. E.g. "Google" is shown in black on dark grey. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set a dark background for location and search bar. 2. Check the _default_ text in the search bar. 3. Navigate to any page and hover a link. Check the text that appears in the location bar. Actual Results: The text is black in both instances. Expected Results: The text should be light grey, obeying the theme in KDE.
Same for me on latest daily build, Ubuntu 10.10 x64, Gnome and a dark theme Expected Results: Firefox should always use the system theme. This bug was present in 3.6, too but there it only affected the Search Field, so it was no show stopper, but now i can't even see where a link is pointing to.
Affects the search field in about:addons, too, also links in the location bar seem to be hardcoded to blue, gives very bad contrast on a dark theme, too
Using: Iceweasel 4.0b9 System theme: oxygen-gtk Colorscheme: light colors on black Preferences unreadable. Text unreadable in many places. See attachment for screenshot. Seems that FF only honors some system colors.
Please report this to the OS theme author. We're using colors as provided by the GTK engine.
