Start up Mozilla and then exit, and your bin tree will have about: - another 6 versions of chrome/all-locales.rdf - another 6 versions of chrome/all-packages.rdf - another 16 versions of chrome/all-skins.rdf These really start to build up!
The multiple versions is a VMS feature, but really this boils down to the fact that Mozilla shouldn't be writing to the bin directory, and bug 42792 covers this. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea if we purged the chrome directory from time to time.

As a temporary fix, the MOZILLA.COM command file now purges the RDF files. This fix shipped in M0.6 but only works if you run MOZILLA.COM from the directory in which is resides. This is changed so that it always purges correctly in the next release after M0.6.
This is fixed by the checkin for bug 66450. See bug 42792 for all the gory details. Fix should be in M0.8. Closing.
