User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1.6
My user language is either German or English, depending on the installation.
In the junk settings, I have enabled adaptive junk mail controls and trusted junk mail headers set by SpamAssassin.
Thunderbird moves messages in languages other than the user languages to the junk folder. The only criterion applied appears to be the language, i.e. the messages in question show no other symptoms of being junk. In that way, I have lost quite a few important messages by failing to control the junk mail folder.
Suggestion: In the setup menus, present the user with a list of languages and allow him to mark those in which he wishes to receive mail.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Thunderbird recognizes the user language, plus English.
2. In the junk settings, enable adaptive junk mail controls.
3. Trust junk mail headers set by SpamAssassin.
Actual Results:
Messages in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese were automatically moved to the Junk Mail Folder.
Expected Results:
The messages should have been left intact in the Inbox.
I am not sure whether that is a feature of SpamAssassin, and if so, whether it falls under the competence of the Thunderbird team. If it doesn't, I would be grateful if this request for enhancement were forwarded.

If this happens only when trust spamassassin is enabled, there is nothing we can do
