This a with to reimplement back -install-global-extension like -install-local-extension somehow someway.
I am an admin on small lan. I would would like to not disturb my users with installation of some new extensions they could have.
Now I am able to install extension on one comp, take its folder, copy it into shared folder. Already have an python script that copied this folder into users "thundebird local home extension", but obviously its not enough, cause the the extension is not "activated". I have been playing a while with "enabledItems" and "newAddons" in prefs.js - yet no success.
Thank for all of my users.
Reproducible: Always

This isn't a bug report it is a support request so I'm closing it. What you're doing should work just fine if you're copying it to the right place. If it isn't then I suggest asking for further help in the newsgroups.
