Details
BUILD: Current trunk Firefox
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1) Load https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3830/versions/
2) Try to download the 1.0 XPI
EXPECTED RESULTS: "save link as" and you're done.
ACTUAL RESULTS: Can't do it.
In particular, for bug 611235 I need to examine the source of this XPI.
This has come up numerous times in the past, but there used to be _some_ way to get the URI out of this page before.... But now I see no way to do it at all, since the "Add to firefox" buttons aren't even links anymore.

I can't reproduce this in 3.6 or nightlies from today or yesterday. I right click on the button, hit Save Link As, and it downloads the .xpi, which I unzipped to verify.

Hmm... It works for me now; certainly wasn't working when I filed.
If I can reproduce again, I'll pay more attention to what's going on.

Well it certainly doesn't work for me, using Seamonkey 2.0.11. (on Linux)
But it does work from all sites that give a direct URL.
(Which used to be the case on the all versions download page.
But not any more.)
Note that Seamonkey 2.0 is compatible with FF 3.6.
When I add the missing Seamonkey compatibility code, FF compatible addons work.
The problem would be solved if you give access to a page with a direct URL.
If it works for you, what are your navigator settings ?
(Mine is set to always download XPI install files.)
Excuse me, I don't know what happened, but a minor click DOES now download the file.
(Maybe I made a regular click ?)
Sorry for my (invalid) comment 3.
By the way, it is interesting that it works with an indirect link now.
