Spin-off of bug 609023, and separate from bug 612361, we'd like to generate thumbnails for uploaded videos. However, this can wait until post-2.3. Meanwhile, we're adding ability to upload your own thumbnail as part of 609023.

paulc, I'm triaging through older support.mozilla.com bugs, and while some are no longer valid, this one may be.  I took a look at uploading video into the knowledgebase, at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/gallery/videos , and there are many videos with text descriptions instead of a graphic thumbnail. Actually, I like the text descriptions.  Is that what this bug was about? Or did it apply to something else?   remain open but perhaps also remain a low priority?  Thanks!
