The bug 607695 comment 23 pointed out a bug in the initial patch in the nsXPTType::T_CHAR case of XPCConvert::JSData2Native. That bug was not discovered during testing as apparently we do not have full test coverage for all conversion cases. We need to fix this.
I agree this is bad, but I'm not going to hold the release for this.
