Per our conversation on the phone earlier, let's go ahead and do a quick reskin of this page with the current content so it won't look weird when we launch. We'll eventually need to resolve bug 604247 (which would add new content to this page), but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen in time to make our launch deadline. Thanks!

While working on this page, we realized that the "Jobs" link points offsite to a page that is made to appear as though it's part of the Mozilla.com site - I wonder if we should rethink how this is done (use an iframe?) http://hire.jobvite.com/CompanyJobs/Jobs.aspx?c=qpX9Vfwa

This is done in the nova branch in r77843. Ready for QA. John, we probably need a new bug for the actual "Jobs" page (the last link in the list at the top of the white box on this page): http://www.jobvite.com/CompanyJobs/Jobs.aspx?c=qpX9Vfwa

I have a question do we want comments from former employees on this page http://nova.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/about/careers.html#feature-first-person

(In reply to comment #3) > I have a question do we want comments from former employees on this page > http://nova.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/about/careers.html#feature-first-person It's not ideal, but not a blocker for now. We're working on a more substantial content overhaul for this page, but it may not happen in time for this initial launch. In other words, a fix for this is in the works, but we can live with it for now.

Re: the jobvite page, I have an email out to the recruiting team to see how they'd like to handle this. I'd imagine it might just require Steven to send some code for the new design over to the jobvite team so they can match it.

John, while we're updating this page, it might be a good time to drop the method of mirroring the mozilla.com header/footer on the jobvite page. It's brittle and even a bit misleading (it looks like you're on mozilla.com, but you're not). I would suggest we eight: a) include a simplified version of the jobvite page in an iframe on mozilla.com (could lead to an internal scrollbar), or b) give the jobvite a simpler stand-alone template without a full mozilla.com header/footer and without any dependencies on mozilla.com images/styles I would prefer the latter.

Morgamic, Bret & I met about this today...many awesome plans are afoot, but I'm pushing this back to release 1.2 so we'll have more time to make it happen (1.1 code freeze is next Thursday). More to come-

Updated the "Jobs" link to point to the updated JobVite page (r81677 in trunk). Merged to stage in r81683. I'm stealing this bug for this fix and marking as FIXED. A more major redesign of the careers page probably deserves a new bug.
