1. go to http://people.mozilla.com/~nhirata/html_tp/formsninput.html
2. select the site icon
3. click on the find in page
4. type in "a" in the find in page text field
5. select the site icon
6. click on find in page

Expected: the arrows do not disable since the text is in there
Actual: arrows disable until the next time you type in the field

The patch use the old value to update the arrows and select all the old text as suggested on IRC by Madhava.
