User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Linux Mint/1 (Debian) Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.1 Even though the Task View can show a list of all tasks, their titles are not shown. I can only see a task title by highlighting it. I created a new profile to make sure nothing external was causing the issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create tasks 2.Go to Task View Actual Results: Only the highlighted task has its title visible Expected Results: All titles should be visible
Version: unspecified → Lightning 1.0b2
Also happens in last nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Lightning/1.0b3pre Thunderbird/3.1.1 BTW: Kernel 2.6.32-5-686 i686 (32 bit) Distro Linux Mint Debian Edition
The screenshot shows 3 tasks named Task 1, Task 2, Task 3. It is just a little bit difficult to read because they are colored gray on white. Maybe try a different theme that uses different colors? Or adjust display settings? (Because on my display the title is readable.)
My goodness! The titles are there! ;) Changed to elementary.Human theme. Guess I should ask for more contrasting colours for the default theme as an enhancement... Many thanks!

I think this bug should be reopened, as it is a problem that occurs for ALL users of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, due to the new white-on-black menu theme. See details here: http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/in_lightning_how_to_change_the_text_color_for_task_lists The solution would be to use something better in place of 'MenuText' in '.calendar-task-tree > treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(future)' of calendar-task-tree.css As the page I cited mentions, it doesn't make much sense tying this colour to that of menutext when many themes colour menus differently from the window body.
