Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b8pre

The new modal tab implementation is lagging, not modal and changes the content outside the dialog box.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a new tab, enter "javascript:alert(1)"
2. press the green arrow button ten (10) times.
3. create a new tab, switch back and forth between new and old tab.
Actual Results:
after 1.: There is a noticeable time lag (~100ms) before the window pops up.
after 2.: a) A pattern of concentric circles appears (screenshot attached).
          b) There are 11 stacked notifications.
after 3.: FF lags noticeably when switching back to the old tab.

Expected Results:
after 1.: There is no noticeable lag (as before).
after 2.: a) No change outside the box.
          b) There is exactly 1 (modal) notification (per tab).
after 3.: There is no lag (as before).

new STR:

1. Create a new bookmark in the bookmark toolbar having the URL "javascript:alert(1)" (without quotation marks).
2. Open an arbitrary website, say http://mozilla.com.
3. Click at the bookmark button ten times.

Actual Results:
a) Each click at the bookmark button darkens the webpage.
b) There are 11 stacked notifications.

(the lag seems to be gone).
