User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 Build Identifier: 1.9.1.3855 It runs as long as there is no connection to the server on the internet. As soon as it has completed the logon to the server and then started to download the first email it crashes. I have to read my emails by directly accessing the server on the web browser (firefox). The crashing started some time after I had started to use Win7. It generates a crash report each time which it says it is sending somewhere. Reproducible: Always
It is version 1.9.1.3855. I downloaded it today from the mozilla site
Version: unspecified → 2.0
Can you give us a crash ID as explained at http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Mozilla+Crash+Reporter ? Marking as not s-s for now as there's nothing like an attack vector here.

I have now replaced ESET with McAfee and all is now well. Thanks for your help.
A bug report already exists for ESET, and Peter is no longer using ESET and unlikely to follow up with ESET, so I'm closing this incomplete
