615108 - minefield 4.0b8pre - after entering a url in the address bar pressing the enter key has no affect

about 4 days ago this problem started happening in minefield and i just assumed it would eventually get fixed.  i have spent some time looking at bug reports and while this problem has been reported many times in the past (below), i was not able to locate a single report for 4.0b8pre.

i have confirmed this bug on two 64-bit computers and a 32-bit netbook, all running the 32-bit version of firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter a url
2. press enter
3. nothing happens, forced to grab the mouse and manually click the green "go" button.
Actual Results:  







(intentionally blank, because that's what happens when hitting enter: nothing)

This is usually caused by an incompatible extension. Does this happen in safe mode?

i disabled avg safe search and restarted minefield.

the enter key works normally now.

avg updated about 4 days ago, so that's probably what caused it.

thank you.

please close this bug report or change it to reflect that avg safe search is the cause.
