User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 I have found that after I installed Beta 4 of Firefox on my Windows 7 PC, the first tab that opens when I start Firefox 3.6.12 is malfunctioning: * The tab cannot be closed even after another tab is opened. * The navigation buttons don't work unless I create another tab. * The "content loading" pinwheel never stops spinning on this tab, even after all content has finished loading. * The favicon for the first tab sticks on the second website loaded in that tab. The problem does not go away even after removing Firefox 4 Beta. I have tried installing the last three releases of Firefox over my existing install in an attempt to fix the problem, but the problem persists. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox
Can you please create a backup of your profile, and after that running a test in safe mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe Mode Could be related to an installed add-on.
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b10pre) Gecko/20110116 Firefox/4.0b10pre Was unable to reproduce issue on nightly build with Firefox 3.6.13.
No response from the reporter. Given the last comment I will mark it as WFM.
