Input is going to offer a set of feedback submission for major releases of mobile firefox and desktop firefox. It'll need the same setup as the beta feedback add-on where: 1. a give feedback button is offered in about:home 2. "openFeedback" function is called (same as the one in the feedback add-on) 3. the function links to http://input.mozilla.com/feedback

Mark says the pref for the give feedback link can be changed, but it'd also need to call the openFeedback function as well.

This should be a blocker for final as we're investing time for the Input team to have feedback on major releases of desktop and mobile firefox. Just to add some permanence about this, mock-ups can be found here: http://people.mozilla.com/~chowse/drop/mozilla.com/input/3.0/v2/mobile/ Also, development has already started on it.

Note that this will need to prefill manufacturer and device fields based on their class, not id. Bug 623679.

I believe this is a mockup of the change from madhava: http://www.flickr.com/photos/madhava_work/5204410623/
I need something clarified: Does this feature need to work even if the Feedback add-on is not in the application? Feedback add-on will only appear in the application if MOZ_CHANNEL == beta, so nightlies won't have the openFeedback function.
> Does this feature need to work even if the Feedback add-on is not in the application? Yeah, the intention is for this button to persist with or without the feedback add-on installed.
