The views are linked so that removal or movement of a message in 1 list removes the same message in the 2nd list. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Uninstall Thunderbird 2.Reinstalled thunderbird 3.Opened Thunderbird Actual Results: 2 copies of the account list in the folder pane Expected Results: 1 copy should NOT be displayed! I am afraid to attempt to delete one of the copies since I might lose all my messages This appears to be a flaw in the profile since it remained after a re-installation. I also note that the profile does not show the current configuration of Thunderbird: It lists an old email address (optonline.net) rather than the present address (optimum.net), as shown in the configuration screens.
When did your problem start to occur? After upgrade from Tb 3.1.5 to Tb 3.1.6? After upgrade from Tb 3.0 to Tb 3.1.6? After upgrade from Tb 2 to Tb 3.1.6? Or Tb 3.1.6 is your first Tb? What folder view do you use? "All Folders"? "Unified Folders"? Do you define multiple Tb's profiles? Are multiple profiles shown by "thunderbird.exe -profilemanager" or "thunderbird.exe -p"? Are you talking about phenomenon of bug 303542?
Started after upgrade from 3.1.5 to 3.1.6 Folder view is "all folders" There are 2 accounts. Only 1 has this problem. I did NOT add or modify any accounts. The second "display" appeared during normal mail operation.
Sorry--I missed 1 question Profile Manager shows only the default profile
