(donate.mozilla.org really needs its own component given all the bugs it will acquire.)

The form currently has a checkbox for "Sign up for the mailing list" but gives absolutely not idea what that mailing list is. Is it a mailing list just for someone who donates? How much will you spam? Can I unsubscribe? Where do I do that? What kind of content will you send me? Is the Privacy Policy[1] linked in the footer (you know, the default for mozilla.org) the same privacy policy? If it is, why doesn't it talk at all about a mailing list?

Chelsea; you asked me to take a look and see if the newsletter opt-in was customizable in BSD via the admin and, as far as I can tell, it is not.

I believe that at the very minimum, ss is suggesting that some mention of this newsletter be added to the privacy policy.

Chelsea: perhaps you know who would be best to take care of having that added?

I will follow up with legal and the e-mail marketing group to see about how to proceed with this.

This is the suggested wording for opting in to e-mails and I've added it to the open web fund page.
