Every time you request a bug chart, reports.cgi redraws the graphic. The data only changes once a day though. It would be easy to check if the file (whose name is static too) already exists and if it does, skip the drawing stuff. The collectstats script would have to remove the images as the data is updated.
Umm, does this mean making sure that the browser can use a cached version of the image?
