Basically undo what bug 616251 did for the final.
So, will this actually happen for FF4 this late in the game?
Good question. I personally would like to do this since we've had everybody on new-crypto for a while now and we have easy setup which is even easier than typing in your old short passphrase. What say you, mconnor, rags?

It's not a blocker.  I don't actually know if we ever want to bring this back, but we should try it early in Fx5.

My gut is 'no', but I'm curious as to others' opinions.
Nope. That code will die eventually, and probably no new user even knows that a sync key exists.
