See also bug 605692. We might just need to adjust the threshold. We might also need to adjust the deltas and delta thresholds based on the display resolution.
I just wanted to file the same thing. One thing I can add is that native Android apps like Google Reader do not show the same behaviour on my Nexus One, so yes, maybe Firefox' implementation still needs a few tweaks.
