Thunderbird in not secure.
Many times Thunderbird tells me that a specific person emails me. When I click in the person, this happens to be another person.
Many times (again Many times I need to wait five-x times. Because I cannot reeach the Inbox. I have to go through many many emails before I come to the end: Inbox.

I just cannot trust Thunderbird.
I have had numerious experinces where I have to wait for Inbox to appear.
I have had numerious experiences when I have looked at emails - they turn up as unread.
I have had numerious experiences when I dealt with emails. Suddenly they turn up as read but I still have to open them up and declare then as READ.

Please, Thunderbird. I accpt problems. But they have been too many. I LOVE  YOUR SYSTEM! But now I do not trust Thunderbird any more.
If you anwer my email, and can give good explanations, I will continue using Thunderbird. If you do not - I will convince people in my country to stop using Thunderbird. Believe me here.

Which version of Thunderbird?

What kind of mail account (POP/IMAP)?

If you are not using Thunderbird 3.1.x does upgrading fix the problem?

If this primarily happens in your inbox, does "repairing" the folder help?
 - In the folder pane right-click on Inbox
 - select "Properties..."
 - select the "General Information" tab
 - click "Repair Folder"

Also, can you reproduce this problem with thunderbird started in safe mode?
