RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 627359

People

Details

In a locale, "Translating Articles" link is associated to "https://support.mozilla.com/locale/kb/Translating%20articles". It is redirected to the English redirection "https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/localize-firefox-help" and not to the localized one "https://support.mozilla.com/locale/kb/localize-firefox-help". See that if locale=fr.
As a result, if you have a link to an English article in a localized article and the English article has been renamed, you are redirected to the English article in en-US SUMO.
Oops, filed and fixed as bug 627359.

In SUMO 2.4.3, clicking on "Répondre aux questions d'assistance" link in the Contributor sidebar redirects you to a redirected English article instead of the French one. See bug 627004.

The link in bug 627004 doesn't use the same fallback mechanism as was fixed in bug 627359. Bug 627359 (and this bug) refer to fixing the link _look-up_ mechanism, which is fixed. Since the sidebar doesn't use the link look-up mechanism, it falls back onto normal locale-detection behavior.

Linking directly to a URL is the same as bug 627004. Please file a new bug telling us where 'How to avoid crashes' is linked and we'll update it.
