When pressing the "refresh list" in the subscribe dialog, the status line says how much KB has been downloaded. It would be much more user friendly to tell how many newsgroups has been downloaded. So instead of: 512K read (at 5k/sec) show: Downloading newsgroups: 128 recieved... Seth: Thanx for the *great* work in the subscribe dialog...
I think the Kb data is also usefull: Downloading newsgroups: 128 recieved (104K read at 5K/sec)

I was just following the 4.x UI, but I like your suggestion. cc'ing jglick for UI feedback.
Agree that the number of newsgroups received is more helpful. Even better would be the number received of the total amount. "Downloading newsgroups: 128 of 200 received". Gives the user an idea of how much longer the process will take. I don't know if we know that info though. If not, "Downloading newsgroups: 128 received (104K read at 5K/sec)" is nice.
sorry, but we don't know how many newsgroups we're going to download. fix in hand, I'll attach a patch.
