Type in Username & Password, click login 2. Click Remember. 3. Button fails to click. Actual Results: unable to save usernames & passwords. Expected Results: should say username & password have been properly saved.
Please follow the steps in http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Username%20and%20password%20not%20remembered and post back your results
Followed the steps, still does not work.
> Steps to Reproduce: > 1. Type in Username & Password, click login > 2. Click Remember. > 3. Button fails to click. On step 3, do you mean the dialog doesn't go away when you click Remember? If so, do you see any errors in the error console? Can you provide an example site where this is occuring
Component: General → Account Manager
QA Contact: general → account.manager
The dialog does not go away. No errors. Every site that I attempt to save a password or username it does not work. I have no saved usernames or passwords.
Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode If it still doesn't work in safe mode, please create a new profile for testing purposes and see if that allows you to save -> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile. This will allow us to determine if there is something in your profile that is causing the problem.
I have done both, still not working.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, rolled back to earlier versions. Nothing seems to work.
Let's set signon.debug to true and check the error console -> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Signon.debug Make config change Restart FF Clear the error console Go to a site with a login form Login Click on Remember Password Paste error console info to this bug (if long, attach as a txt file)
Component: Account Manager → Password Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
QA Contact: account.manager → password.manager
What config change do I do?
Please set signon.debug to true as outlined in the kb article (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Signon.debug)
designbyjm -> Any update?
Sorry, I have been having connectivity issues. The config change piece is a bit above me. Still not having any success.
Here are step by step instructions. Go to about:config Click 'I'll be careful, I promise!' at warning dialog In the filter field type Right click on signon.debug and select toggle The value should now be set to true Restart Firefox Go to a site where a password should be saved Login to site Click on remove password Copy contents from error console into a txt file and add as attachment here Let me know your results
can you contact me on skype: jacob.mcdaniel
Sorry - not on Skype (no microphone). Feel free to post any questions here, or on irc (http://irc.mozilla.org/ in #firefox)
Are you still having this issue? Have you been able to try making the config change and posting the log? Did you have a question about the instructions? Go to about:config Click 'I'll be careful, I promise!' at warning dialog In the filter field type signon Right click on signon.debug and select toggle The value should now be set to true Restart Firefox Go to a site where a password should be saved Login to site Click on remove password Copy contents from error console into a txt file and add as attachment here
Closing bug as Incomplete - if you are still experiencing this issue or have more information to provide feel free to post back here and we can re-open the bug. You can also get assistance by visiting the Firefox help site -> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Ask+a+question
