Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101206 Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick) Firefox/3.6.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101208 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.7 I created an event "the fifth tuesday of every month". The calendar then suddenly doesn't show any event. But if I create "the fifth THURSDAY of every month", it works well. I didn't testet all other weekdays, but the point is, that there are some weekdays for which it doesn't work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new event. 2. At "repeat" choose "custom..." 3. At "Recurrence pattern repeat" use "monthly" 4. Choose "The Fifth" and "Tuesday" 5. Check that it is every 1 month(s) 6. Ok to all open dialogs 7. Go to month view in calendar and scroll forward and backward in time. 8. All your events should be gone. 9. If it doesn't work maybe try another weekday. 10. To modify/delete the newly created event: Check that under "Find events" area is enabled and select "All Events". Actual Results: Calendar View is empty. Expected Results: Calendar View should show my events and my newly created event, if there is a fifth tuesday in the time area I chose.

It also happens the same way under Windows 7, Thunderbird 3.1.7, Lightning 1.0b2.
See also bug 418590 comment #1.

Did you start the event on a date that matches the rule, e.g. "The Fifth" and "Tuesday"? In addition please check Tools > Error Console, most probably this is a duplicate of Bug 419490.

OK this is the error console output: "Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8007000e (NS_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY) [calIRecurrenceItem.getOccurrences]" nsresult: "0x8007000e (NS_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY)" location: "JS frame :: file:///usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/%7B3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6%7D/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/modules/calUtils.jsm -> file:///usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/%7B3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6%7D/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/calendar-js/calRecurrenceInfo.js :: cRI_calculateDates :: line 537" data: no]" Ok yeah it's the same bug like Bug 419490. I think it's a major problem because for many people it seems like all their events are gone if they don't know how to find them with the "find events" tool. Sorry for that duplicate, next time I check the error console and search for bugs with some relevant output string of it.
