There is no option to compose messages in plain text format.
Old Netscape has some "Use plain text editor to compose messages" option,
current mozilla build has nothing like that and forces me to use HTML editor to
compose messages.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
open preferences and there isn't any option to compose plaintext emails
Martin: There is, though.
In mail, go to edit - mail-news account settings. There, uncheck the checkbox of
'compose messages in html format'. Now the defauls should be plain text format.
For individual email adresses to send to, that do understand html, you can
specify in the adress book per adress to use html instead, but I don't know if
this option already has been implemented.

Succes,
Vincent.

Btw, someone more privileged should close this bug and mark it as invalid, i
think...
Thanks Vincent for filtering this. :)
Martin : It is a known issue that Mail & News is poorly documented and I assume
we are working on fixing that. Thank you!
Fabian.
