Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7

I installed Firefox 4b7 on Fedora 14 x86_64. I imported a large backup of bookmarks that have many tags. These all imported successfully, along with their tags.

I then set up Firefox Sync and selected bookmarks to sync.

I started up Firefox 3.6.13 on another computer that was already linked to Sync and told it to perform a sync. All of the bookmarks were synced over, but I saw none of the tags.

I then came back to the first machine (running Firefox 4b7) and saw that all of my tags had been removed there as well.

This is a SERIOUS data loss situation. I rely on tags to manage my hundreds of bookmarks. (I'm lucky in that I had a backup with the tags)

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See "Details"
Actual Results:
All tags in my bookmarks were gone

Expected Results:
Both computers should have a complete set of bookmarks, with all of the associated tags.
Hmm, very strange. I just tried this again from fresh profiles (-ProfileManager) on both systems, and this time the tags came through just fine.
