User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b7 When on a plurk.com profile page: An iframe's url gets loaded as main content into a tab when the tab is inactive and I select the "Refresh tab" item from the tab's context menu. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into a plurk.com account and go to your profile page ("own timeline"). 2. Switch to another tab. 3. Select "Refresh tab" from the context menu of the plurk.com page's tab without switching to that tab Actual Results: The url of an iframe gets loaded as main content in the tab. Expected Results: The actual profile page should be reloaded, not an inner iframe as main content. The mentioned iframe is used for long polling or similar technique to achieve realtime notifications about new content. When I switch back to the tab with the plurk page and hit refresh button on the toolbar, the correct profile page gets reloaded. Sometimes I need to press reload multiple times. By selecting "Refresh tab" context menu I can't achieve this.
WFM - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20101219 Firefox/4.0b9pre ID:20101219030346 Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile Steps I took: Went to http://www.plurk.com/Penguin_Love Switched to bugzilla tab Clicked reload tab on plurk tab Waited for page to load Switched back to plurk tab Page appeared correctly
It occurs with a new, empty profile. I haven't tried with safe mode yet. Just to be clear, for this problem to occur, you need to be signed in to plurk.com, and be on your own profile page. Otherwise there is no iframe in the page. So after signing in to plurk, switching to another tab, browsing for a little while and then clicking reload tab menuitem results in the iframe's url loaded as main content. And it does not happen all time. I have not managed to figure out why exactly, but it might be related to another problem, which appeared with the release of 4.0b7. That is, the realtime notification system of plurk.com stops working after some time, although it worked correctly in 4.0b6 and still works in other browsers. (This notification systems uses the iframe on the profile page)
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Seems to be gone with 9th beta
Glad to hear.
