Details
i am not seeing any android auto update notifications on the T-mobile MyTouch 4G device. It is running the 12/17 nightly, and there is no update shown, even though i know there is one when i manually "Check for updates" from the about:home page.
Environment:
- build: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20101217 Firefox/4.0b9pre Fennec/4.0b4pre
- settings:
** enabled app.update.timerMinimumDelay = 30000
** enabled app.update.log = true
* Unable to reproduce on my Nexus One device. That one shows the auto update fennec notification (4.0b4pre) after 2 minutes
Repro:
1) install trunk nightly, Mytouch 4G: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20101217 Firefox/4.0b9pre Fennec/4.0b4pre
2) set the proper config values for app.update (see above)
3) wait a few minutes. Verify there is no auto-update notification shown at all. However, if you go to about:home and "Check for updates" button, you will get the "Fennec 4.0b4pre available notification"
4) Also verify there are no logs in error console
Expected:
- auto update notification for fennec nightly update after 2 minutes
Actual:
- nothing, need to manually trigger the update
