When selecting the first mail entry in the list of all mails and then deleting
it does not redraw the list. This leads to a hole at the top of the list. This
works also for subsequent deletes, say now deleting the second, third ... entry,
this leads to a huge hole at the top.
I don't see this behavior on linux build 2000-12-05-08. Marcel, what build are
you using?
I thought the build I used was added to the bugreport.
Anyway, I'm using Windows-NT build, 2000120520. I tested it today in a
mail folder which is based on an IMAP-server. Unfortunately I do not
have any console output or other information which could help you.
This is not a new symptom, it is quite a while that way round. Sorry, I
can't remember the exact time when I first detected the bug.
This happens, but not all the time, it also doesn't have to be the top message
to cause the redraw problem. This problem has been in existence for a long
time, I believe there is an existing bug ... I'll try to find it.

Nominate for 6.5 -- I encounter this fairly frequently and although it redraws
upon resize of the thread pane, it's not all that intuitive to do that.

To reiterate display symptom:
1. sometimes result will be a blank line/"hole" in the thread pane list
2. sometimes result will be multiple selections, including the deleted msg
(which has really been moved/deleted, but header still shows in thread pane)

Summary: UI, deleting first mail entry in list does not redraw list → Redraw thread pane problem when deleting/moving messages.

I changed the summary -- I think putterman assigned this to chuang by misreading
the original summary as something to do with a mailing list (as in Address Book).

cc hyatt - he probably has old bugs on this.
yeah, I reassigned incorrectly. I'm going to reassign this to hyatt. This sounds
like a dup of other bugs we've had.

Is this distinct from bug 58905, or just a duplicate?
