The Software Update Failed article <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Software%20Update%20Failed?s=update+could+not+be+installed&as=s> says "Sometimes, the updater fails and displays the following error message:", but then it doesn't display the message. Looking at the HTML in Firebug reveals that the message has been hidden by a "display: none" rule:

Software Update Failed The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again.

The message should be visible rather than hidden.
I'm closing this bug as invalid, because we don't track article requests in Bugzilla anymore. See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums/knowledge-base-articles/704988
