Theme in Add-ons Manager: enable/disable doesn't work and ignores safe mode
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Maemo; Linux armv7l; rv:2.0b9pre) Gecko/20101231 Firefox/4.0b9pre Fennec/4.0b4pre 1. Extensions can be enabled/disabled, and when this status toggles, a restart is required to apply it. Theme, right now, is always de facto enabled. As its status never changes, it never asks for a restart. And if you disable a theme and restart Fennec, the theme is enabled after the restart. 2. When Fennec is in Safe Mode: Extensions are temporarily disabled, and thus clicking "Enable" button is completely ignored. However, for a theme the "Enable" button toggles to "Disable" and back, as if Fennec was in normal mode. 3. To summarize, when browser is started theme once reads correctly its status and then never tells browser to modify it, whatever button is pressed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a theme installed. 2. Try to enable/disable it in Safe Mode. 3. Try to disable/enable it in normal mode. Actual Results: Impossible to disable a theme. Expected Results: Disabling and enabling a theme should act similarly to extensions. Fennec Qt nightly on Maemo 5.
Wikiwide, can you attach a theme to test with?
I have experienced this issue for a long time, it's not recent (imho).
This is reproducible on Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:10.0a1) Gecko/20111018 Firefox/10.0a1 Fennec/10.0a1 Device: HTC Desire OS: Android 2.2 I was able to reproduce the "enable/disable theme in normal mode" issue using Personas.
